Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

About the Role:
The Finn Valley CE Project is currently recruiting for an Sales Assistant to support community-based charity shop in the Finn Valley area. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience, contribute to your local community, and access training opportunities to help you progress into further employment.

Key Duties Will Include:
•  Providing excellent customer service to all visitors
•  Operating the till and handling cash accurately
•  Sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items
•  Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and well-presented
•  Supporting volunteers and working as part of a team
•  Promoting the charity’s mission and values

Eligibility:
This position is supported under the Department of Social Protection’s Community Employment Programme. To be eligible, you must:
•	Be aged 21 or over
•	Be in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for at least 12 months or be a qualifying adult on a claim
•	Meet CE scheme eligibility criteria (We can or your local Intreo office can check if you meet this criteria)

CE placements are designed to be stepping stones back to the workforce and include access to training and support.
