Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Communication and interpersonal skills will be developed. 
Represent Roma person on local and regional committees, working groups, services etc. 
Build the capacity of Roma person to engage with services, training and supports. 
Build knowledge of, and experience in, person rights issues, domestic and sexual violence, Primary Health Care, community development, and other relevant fields with a focus on improving the quality of life of Roma  
Identify and record barriers and issues for Roma.   
Organise and deliver information and training sessions for local service providers on antiracism and discrimination, and good practice when working with Roma. 
Advocate/speak on behalf of Roma.  
Have experience in organizing and delivering presentations and training sessions.  
Be able to show empathy, dignity and respect towards people who experience domestic and sexual violence. 
To promote good mental health
