This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.


This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a very busy warehouse. All training will be provided 
 The key tasks include
Assisting with sorting and grading  textile/clothing items by separating into predetermined classifications (e.g., men’s, women’s,  other textiles) and into quality levels (retail store grade, outlet grade, or salvage) and sort and grade household wares. The participant will work closely with the retail team to help collate merchandise for our vintage and pop up shops as well as  our retail outlets . participants will also help with stocktaking and other general warehouse activities. 
- Helping with the loading and unloading of vans during busy periods.                                                    
- Adhere to safe work practices 
- Full training will be given to the successful participant.
- Forklift training if applicable 


 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
