Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

The position will be in the Dromcollogher area.  The aim of this programme is to provide you with the opportunity of acquiring knowledge in the area of childcare whilst gaining experience working in a Childcare Setting. Duties will include; Supervision of Children indoors, outdoors and sleep rooms. The ability to record daily information relating to children. The physical care of children. Preparation and carry through of activities. Provide responsive care of children. You will achieve a Level 5 QQI (FETAC)Childcare qualification which will enable you to obtain employment in childcare. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
