Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

 Support for people with Intellectual Disabilities in Boyle, Co. Roscommon

Duties include: 

Supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities with the activities of daily living. 
Promoting higher levels of independence; 
Encourage their full participation in the community.

You will be mentored & guided during your time on CE to ensure that you get the qualifications, the networking opportunities & relevant experience necessary to gain full time employment.

Skills Required:
You must have a kind, patient nature and be able to work with vulnerable people.
An understanding of confidentiality is essential.
Flexibility in work & hours.
A full clean manual driving licence is essential to progress your career as a Support Worker.
Good communication skills & ability to work with others
Must be willing to partake in QQI accredited Healthcare training.
Garda vetting and/or international police clearance is required for this post.
