We’re looking for someone to join our takeaway coffee dock on a work placement and get hands-on experience and training in a customer-focused environment. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of working in a coffee dock and build confidence dealing with customers.

You will learn how to make coffees and other drinks, serve customers quickly and efficiently, and keep things moving. You will also assist with using the till to take orders and payments, social media, as well as keeping the dock clean, tidy, and well stocked throughout the day.

As it’s a takeaway setup, being able to stay organised and work as part of a small team is important. You’ll also be interacting with customers regularly.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and get involved. During the placement, you’ll pick up barista basics, customer service skills, and experience working in a real café setting.

We’re a supportive team and will guide you as you learn.
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.

The participant will receive formal/informal training in the following:

Formal Training:
HACCP Training which is certified
Barista Trainining, Certified
First Aid, Certified.

Informal Training:
Preparing coffees and hot drinks (barista basics)
Customer service and taking orders

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Working efficiently in a takeaway environment
Basic stock handling and organisation.
