Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Preparing the mid-day meal for up to 46 pre-school children attending our early years’ service. Daily cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas following meal time as well as a general cleaning of the service area. Organising the weekly ordering of goods for the kitchen and general household needs.  Attending staff meetings and relevant training days,
Adhering to all health and safety and child welfare policies and procedures of the service.  HACCP Training will be provided if required. A good communicator who enjoys working with children and can work as part of a team.
