Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties:
Work towards acquiring a full knowledge of all BRYR’s food and beverage healthy eating policies and procedures, in accordance with kitchen hygiene standards and HACCP.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in both the kitchen and seating areas.
Carry out all cleaning duties according to the cleaning rota, including wash-up and pot washing.
Ensure all crockery and cooking utensils are stored on clean shelves and in clean cupboards/drawers.
Support the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.
As arranged and briefed, assist with light food preparation and cooking (e.g., hot snacks, sandwiches, fruit/vegetables, drinks) in the Head Chef’s absence.
Ensure all storage areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Become familiar with all kitchen equipment and cleaning requirements. Report any faulty, broken, or damaged equipment immediately to the Head Chef.
