Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Key Responsibilities
•	Assist with food preparation and cooking in line with menu guidelines and dietary requirements
•	Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
•	Organise and restock food supplies and pantry items
•	Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and timely meal service
•	Follow food safety and proper food-handling procedures
•	Engage positively with café patrons to support an inclusive and respectful environment
Skills & Attributes
•	Willingness to work as part of a team in a community-focused setting
•	Interest in developing kitchen and food service skills
•	Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
•	Basic food safety awareness (training provided)
