Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all childcare spaces throughout the building: cleaning surfaces, ledges, windows, window cills, skirting boards, floors, children's furniture;
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all toilet/nappy changing spaces in the childcare services;
Dust and clean staff kitchen;
Keep reception area clean and welcoming;
Clean and dust office space in the childcare setting;
Clean all mats in use in the childcare centre;   
Follow all health & safety guidelines;   
Follow the policies & procedures of the childcare centre;  
Work as part of a team;  
Communicate effectively with Childcare Dupervisor and other team members;   
Participate in training relevant to the position e.g. Manual Handling etc.
