Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Role:  Reception & Retail at the Old Irish Goat Visitor Centre

Responsibilities: 
Retail assistant Old Irish Goat Shop and tour co-ordinator at the Old Irish Goat Centre 
Greet and welcome visitors
Manage visitor booking system, and coordinating with other tour guides.
Serve customers in the Old Irish Goat Shop
Provide excellent Customer Service 
Educate and inspire the public on this endangered piece of our Living Heritage, and ensure a positive guest-experience to all our visitors
Cleaning and maintaining shop displays, and cleaning Centre - ensuring the facility is always clean and ready for visitors, 
Photos/Video of the Centre for our Instagram and other social media channels.
Other duties / guide duties may be required - training will be provided

Candidate Skills:  The ideal candidate should love meeting new people, have excellent Customer Service skills, a passion for  tourism and Irish heritage, love animals and have an interest in advocating for animals & preserving Irish heritage.

Training & Experience: Full training support provided.  This could be an ideal stepping stone for someone interested in a career in tourism or in developing skills to become a tour guide.
