Salary: €36,605- €45,000 per year (gross)
Hours: 39–45 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Frank Pratt & Sons are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our workshop in Kilmurray, Trim. This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary and an excellent package for the successful candidate.

Key Duties:
Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and scheduled maintenance
Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
Service and repair a varied fleet of HGVs and tipper trailers
Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards
Complete documentation and job cards accurately and on time
Provide daily updates to management on progress and vehicle status
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
Work across multiple truck models and tipping trailer types
Perform additional duties as required by management

Required Skills & Experience:
Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate, Level 6, or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HGV or heavy vehicle mechanic
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Strong understanding of safety standards and maintenance procedures
Proficiency in English
Physically fit for the demands of the role

Desirable:
Experience with hydraulics, electrics, and trailer maintenance
Knowledge of CVRT preparation and compliance requirements
