Job Description

We are currently recruiting for full-time Health care Assistants (Home support workers) to support our growing community services in the Dublin Area.
This role involves supporting individuals to live independently while receiving high-quality, person-centred care in their own homes.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week
Salary: €32,691 per annum
The Role
As a healthcare assistant with Bartra Homecare, you will:
provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes
Assist clients with personal care needs including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Support clients with mobility and safe moving and handling to maximise comfort and independence.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration where required.
Support clients with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional wellbeing to the care manager or nursing team.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Support clients in medication reminders (where appropriate and trained).
Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all clients always.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
Accompany clients to appointments or community activities where required.
Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
Report hazards, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly
Assist in monitoring basic health indicators (where trained) and report concerns.
Act as a first responder in emergency situations where required.
Participate in training such as manual handling, safeguarding, and first aid.

The Ideal Candidates will demonstrate:
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Previous experience in home care or a healthcare setting
A relevant care qualification (QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent)
A strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care
A caring, compassionate, and respectful nature
Strong communication skills, including good spoken and written English
The ability to work independently in clients’ homes and manage time effectively
Reliability, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility
Availability to work weekends, as required

Desirable:
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential)
