Minimum Experience: 6 months
Minimum Qualification: Level 4, Leaving Certificate or equivalent
Driving Licence: Full Category D mandatory
Driver CPC: Mandatory where applicable

VIP Buses Limited is a professional passenger transport company providing safe, reliable and efficient school transportation services. Due to the continued expansion of our school transport operations, we are seeking an experienced and responsible Bus Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will operate buses safely on designated school transport routes, transport students between agreed collection points and schools, and ensure that all journeys are completed safely, punctually and professionally.

The role requires a strong commitment to road safety, passenger safety, punctuality and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Operate buses safely and efficiently on designated school transport routes.
Provide scheduled morning and afternoon school transportation services.
Collect and drop off students at designated locations in accordance with agreed routes and schedules.
Ensure the safety and security of passengers throughout each journey.
Comply with Irish road traffic legislation and all applicable passenger transport requirements.
Carry out daily vehicle safety and condition checks before commencing duties.
Report vehicle defects, mechanical issues and safety concerns to management promptly.
Maintain the cleanliness and professional presentation of the assigned vehicle.
Follow designated routes and scheduled collection and drop off times.
Maintain accurate driving, journey and operational records.
Communicate professionally with school representatives, parents, guardians, passengers and company management.
Deal appropriately and professionally with routine passenger and operational queries.
Maintain punctual attendance for all scheduled school runs.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and operational policies.
Report incidents or accidents in accordance with company procedures.
Represent VIP Buses Limited professionally at all times.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet all the following requirements.
Minimum 6 months professional experience as a bus, coach or passenger transport driver.
Full Irish or EU Category D driving licence is mandatory.
Valid Driver CPC is mandatory where applicable.
Legally entitled to drive passenger carrying vehicles in Ireland.
Excellent driving record and a strong commitment to road safety.
Good knowledge of Irish roads and ability to follow designated routes.
Ability to carry out vehicle safety checks and identify and report defects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good spoken and written English to communicate effectively with schools, passengers, parents, guardians and management.
