Annual Salary: €37,648 p. a.
Weekly hours: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
•	Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the learning, development and wellbeing of children attending the playgroup.
•	Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate play, learning and recreational activities in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
•	Support children's physical, emotional, social, language and cognitive development through purposeful play and interaction.
•	Observe, monitor and record children's progress, development and wellbeing, maintaining accurate records where required.
•	Build positive relationships with children, parents and guardians, providing regular feedback on children's participation and development.
•	Promote positive behaviour and support children's independence, confidence and inclusion.
•	Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and welfare standards are maintained at all times.
•	Assist in organising daily routines, learning activities, outings and special events to enhance children's experiences.
•	Work collaboratively with Early Years Educators, childcare assistants and other colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of childcare services.
•	Support the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards within the childcare setting.
•	Participate in staff meetings, training and continuous professional development activities.
•	Contribute to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and supports the individual needs of all children.

Requirements
•	QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification.
•	Previous experience working with children in an early years, preschool or childcare setting.
•	Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and child development principles.
•	Strong communication, observation and record-keeping skills.
•	Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and childcare compliance requirements.
•	Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children and parents.
